CoMo Preservation-Preserving Oral History

  • The District 11 South 10th Street Columbia, MO, 65201 United States (map)

In this three-hour workshop, you'll work with Trevor Harris to preserve the life story of a local

landmark. Learn the basics of preserving oral histories, and audio and video capture. Then,

you'll help conduct an actual interview with a longtime Columbian with ties to the Missouri

Theatre preservation effort. Through his business the Recollection Agency, Trevor Harris

works with clients to capture and preserve life stories of their family elders. This event is

FREE; but reservations are required (limited spots available).

Equipment used in this workshop will be provided by Vidwest Studios, local nonprofit with

the mission of making digital media accessible to all in our community. Thank you to our

event co-sponsor, Daniel Boone Regional Library.

This event is free but reservations are required (limited spots available).

All CoMo Preservation’s monthly meetings feature a guest speaker on historic

preservation and/or historic properties in Columbia, Missouri, and are open to the public
