Good Times in The District!

Good Times in The District: Mark your calendars for upcoming events this Spring and Summer

Whether you whip out the ol’ calendar or live out your life unscheduled and by the seat of your pants, it pays to note the exciting happenings that await you. It gives you something to look forward to, and it prevents that dreadful FOMO, or “fear of missing out.”

The District Downtown has some fun stuff planned for 2023, so we thought it best to keep you in the loop.

Here’s what you should look forward to this the Spring and Summer:

Excited for your wedding, but dreading the planning? On Saturday, March 12, join other to-be-weds for a free wedding stroll around town, where you can stop by participating locations to look for a venue, dress, bridesmaid gifts, and other wedding essentials, all the while sipping champagne. After the event, there’s a chance to win over $200 in gift cards for various District businesses!

Those en route to holy matrimony needn’t have all the fun. On Saturday, April 22, The District is putting on a Spring Shop Hop, where many local businesses will have sales and highlight their new products. Complimentary refreshments will also be available, so be sure to bring your thirst! Don’t fret about parking – downtown garages will be free to use all weekend long!

During the month of June, save some room in your stomachs for Restaurant Week and Drinks in the District, where participating restaurants offer some sweet deals on savory foods and beverages all week long.

Can’t decide between a leisurely outdoor stroll and an indoor shopping spree? As part of The Dog Days Sidewalk Sale, various shops in The District will be displaying their discounted and on-sale products out on their sidewalks from Thursday, July 27th to Sunday, July 30th. It’s free-to-park after 5 PM that Friday and all weekend long, so come on out and find yourselves some hidden gems!
