Goings On in The District: Spring Updates

As the weather warms and we go from hibernation-mode to dipping our toes in the  waters of more time outdoors,  more light, more events, one might ask oneself, from time to time, without much investigative follow through: What’s going on in The District these days?    Well, perhaps your follow through ain’t so bad after all, cause here you are, about to find out!

Those who consider themselves frequent patrons to The District, or shoot, even more sporadic visitors may notice a few changes around the streets and shops of downtown CoMo this Spring.  The District has several exciting new businesses to boast.

With renovations, expansions, and the addition of a new apartment complex right across from our offices, you can definitely feel the growth and anticipation in the air. We’ve also had several District establishments move their storefront location down the block or around the corner.  So if you’re looking for:   Poe Golf, The Electric Peacock, Lore Tattoo, or Berkshire Hathaway - you don’t have to look far.  We’re so glad these businesses have decided to stay in the District neighborhood!

Are you ready for the great news?  We have a ton of up (open) and coming (soon) businesses.  We’re stoked!   Several are already open and ready for business, in no particular order, let’s dish:

Yogo Luv (reopened!)

La Calle 8

ToGo Sandwiches

360 Star Styling Studio

Wynnsome

The Shops at Sharp End - Established by The District, REDI, and CMCA

We Be Smokin

Eat Crepe Love

Son of a Gun

Chronic Sunshine

Tiger Market

Sage

Selfie Love CoMo (now by appointment only)

And, as if that wasn’t enough to get you downtown for a little walk-about, a little exploration, there’s more coming.  We’re looking forward to these rad opening soon local entrepreneurs:

Penguin Piano Bar (Grand re-opening this weekend!)

Endwell Taverna

Yard Line Restaurant

Tellers (reopening sometime in the future, the radiant future)

In many ways, The District is a typical downtown.    But there’s plenty of curious atypical fun too.  With  clusters of artisanal bars and restaurants, places to shop, art to see and purchase, music to enjoy, places of worship, hot spots to get coffee, buy and read books, places to call home, do yoga, get massages, facials, haircuts, tattoos, cool spots to  enjoy ice cream and other treats, and of course, all the great people and great people watching!  We’ll leave it to you to determine who’s on which list.  If you ask us, it’s all gravy baby.

All in all, it’s an exciting spring in The District.  We hope to see you soon!  #itsgoodtobehere
